B.Ed. (100 Seats)
The Academic programme of B.Ed. is of Two-year duration. There shall be deep focus on the teaching of both Theory and Practice in the institute. Acquisition of effective teaching skills by our students shall be our prime goal. The college shall organize teaching seminars on regular basis throughout the year. The goal of the B.Ed. programme as outlined by the University is to prepare effective secondary school teachers, who are capable of responding to the changing needs of Modern Indian Society.
The Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) programme aims at developing the understanding and competencies required by practicing teachers for effective teaching-learning process at the secondary level of school education. The course work combined with rigorous practice of teaching prepares teacher trainees to master the art of teaching and the ability to deal with students based on their individual differences in various classroom situations.

Objectives of this Academic Programme:

» To explain globalization in the context of Indian Education System.
» To define emerging issues like Social Equity and Equality, Social Cohesion, Democracy, Secularism, Human Rights, Right To Education and concerns for the disadvantaged section of the society.
» To enable Pupil Teachers to use knowledge of effective verbal, non-verbal and media communication techniques to foster active enquiry, collaboration and supportive interaction in the classroom.
» To enable the student teachers to apply formal and informal assessment strategies to evaluate and ensure the continuous intellectual social, emotional and physical development of the learners.
» To help student teachers in expressing their identity as a ‘teacher’ through school based learning experiences and reflective practices that continually evaluate the effects of their choices and actions.
» To provide a rich programme of curricular and extracurricular activities for student teachers for all round development of their personalities as also those of the students whom they teach.

He/She should have passed the 3 year Bachelors Degree conducted by University with an overall aggregate of 50%.Pass in Graduation equivalent with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate and must also have passed English(core or elective or functional) as a subject. Selections of candidates are based on IPU-CET Entrance Exam, Followed by IPU Counselling Session for Admission.
